Collection Highlights - Butterfly Trellis
Butterfly Trellis is the name I’ve given my latest collection. It is a spring-into-summer call to nature. All of my designs are biophilic designs (more on that in a future post) which basically means, based on patterns in nature.
The butterfly is an amazing creature isn’t it? It is symmetrical. While mine has the variation of hand-painted art, I have placed it in a symmetrical ogee pattern to honor her natural manner of being. I wonder if all insects are symmetrical? Leave a comment if you know.
The rest of the collection came from drawings and photos that pay homage to natural textures, flowers, and the bees that frequent them.

I recently attended the Philadelphia Flower Show and had fun walking through the butterfly exhibit. There was an interesting variety. So beautiful! Feel free to screenshot any of these photos for your own butterfly (and moth) paintings.
