Woodland Collection

My debut fabric collection with Spoonflower is called Woodland and incorporates trees, leaves, acorns, and birds.

The first pattern I simply call Trees. My backyard has a lovely copse of trees where my dog and I play. I wanted my first collection to express my love of being in nature, walking under the leaves, listening to birds flitting about in their daily lives. I love forsythia so I had to include that as well.

The Trees pattern is magical. It will transform a child’s play space into a forest adventure. The color options: blues, aqua, taupes, and greens are whimsical. Cover a wall in wallpaper, hang curtains, or scatter pillows and lose yourself in the forest.

This collection has leaf patterns done in three ways. Tossed Leaf is a simple leaf with a shadow behind it. Leaf Layout is a tossed wisteria leaf from those growing on our porch. The third Damask Leaf is reminiscent of the traditional Pennsylvania Dutch designs found in my area of PA.

Accompanying the leaf patterns is the sweetest acorn design. Acorns are tossed in a stripe and are multicolor in wild colors like blue, pink and yellow.

The final pattern is Little Birds, a design of bird sketches that I did while visiting Japan. I was inspired by delicate bird paintings I observed in my travels and did small sketches one evening. It’s a lovely vertical pattern so that all the birds are positioned up.

Fall Leaf Layers will make your kitchen, sunroom, or other interior spaces come alive with the shapes and colors of autumn. Blend it with other patterns in my shop, like Acorns!
